A Best-In-Class Early Childhood Learning School

The Northside Development Group, the Mary Black Foundation, and other associations supporting the Northside Initiative are leading a project to develop a new Early Learning School in the Northside. The Franklin School will serve children ages 6-weeks to five-years old from a variety of economic backgrounds. The school will encourage holistic child development by maintaining a curriculum centered around the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) approach. It will also offer full-day, full-year early learning services for 160-200 children.

A third-party organization with experience in the field of early childhood development will run the school and be tasked with maintaining highly qualified staff and providing quality educational opportunities. The Franklin School will be located near the Cleveland Academy of Leadership. Construction is expected to begin in 2017 and be complete by late 2018.
